Kohimarama School Learning Process
How does this work?
As teachers we can think:
- What do we want the learners to dream about?
- What provocations will we have?
- What prior knowledge will they need?
Our akonga might think:
- What am I interested in learning about?
- What is this?
- What can it do?
- I really like this!
|
As teachers we can think:
- What learning opportunities will we provide?
- What questions will the learners want answered?
- What is the purpose / impact of this learning?
Our akonga might think:
- How could I share this new cool thing/idea?
- What more do I need to know about this?
- What purpose / impact will it have on my learning?
|
As teachers we can think:
- What more knowledge do my akonga need?
- How might they present their findings?
- What other connections in their learning can I facilitate?
Our akonga might think:
- How can I put my ideas together or into practice?
- How can I test my new understandings?
|
As teachers we can think:
- Who will my akonga share their learning with?
- How can they make an impact on other akonga?
- How can we involve the community in this sharing / impact?
Our akonga might think:
- How can I make a change / impact on others?
- How can I share my message / idea / understanding / learning?
- Who needs to know this?
